Our Online option has been developed to help you take full advantage of your time and efforts while attending Briarcliffe College. You have the opportunity to take some of your General Education Classes online. By completing some of your classes online, you may find that you can have flexibility in your overall educational plan.

In many instances, you will find that you can adjust your time by using these online classes, thus allowing yourself to meet other family or work obligations while you complete your online coursework.

Flexible Learning at Briarcliffe College does not require you to meet in real-time scheduled courses in a traditional, on-site classroom on campus. Instead, these classes are "virtual" and can be completed from any location – work or home – without physically attending classes.

You will still have all the advantages of class discussions and socialization – only it will occur online, with people just like you, who have the need to complete these courses, and the willingness to use a computer and the Internet to do so.

Who is eligible to participate?

Students enrolled in a regular, full-time degree program at Briarcliffe College may be eligible, depending on availability, to take coursework online through this option.

These online classes are the equivalent to courses that you take in a classroom at your campus. Class work requirements are equal, and faculty is equally qualified.

Your instructor is only an e-mail away and you have access to the online library, 24 hours a day, from anywhere. If you need technical support, call or e-mail, and people will respond who want you to succeed online – they’ll help you solve whatever access or software or hardware problem may be preventing you from completing your assignments.
